Marty Sanchez Links de Santa Fe
205 Caja del Rio Rd.
Santa Fe, NM 87506
888-735-4657
Located just eight miles west of the downtown Plaza, is New Mexico's only municipal golf course, Marty Sanchez Links de Santa Fe.
The course, built in 1998, is a fusion of desert and links design elements, and is sited to maximize the panoramic views of the four surrounding mountain ranges including the Sangre de Cristos of the Sourthern Rockies, the Jemez, Ortiz and Sandia mountains. Designed by Baxter Spann, this championship course has five sets of tees that make the course challenging yet playable for all skill levels, perfect for beginners, but also a test from the back tees for experts.
The par 3 executive course, called "The Great 28" was named one of Travel & Leisure Golf's "Top Three Big Little Courses in the United States."
The course is bisected by two high-desert ridges, adding variety to your shots. Fairways are framed by native juniper and pinon trees, and native grasses separate the fairways. The sides of the fairways are bowled to allow errant shots to more easily find the short grass.
