Visiting Santa Fe

2015 August, Santa Fe Independent Film Festival

August 18, 2015: The Seventh Annual Santa Fe Independent Film Festival (SFIFF) is the premiere film event in Santa Fe. SFIFF showcases the very best independent films of 2015 in the City Different’s top theaters. The festival begins Wednesday October 14, 2015 with five days of independent film, interactive social events, and instructive and exploratory workshops.

SFIFF will present the 2015 Lifetime Achievement Award to the incomparable Gena Rowlands as part of A Tribute To Gena Rowlands on Saturday, October 17th at the historic Lensic Performing Arts Center, followed by the film A Woman Under the Influence on 35 mm.

The festival also highlights New Mexico roots and demonstrates that New Mexico is not only the best place to make a film but also to see one. A special program New Mexico True Film Day will feature films that expose the raw beauty of New Mexico, bring its deep history to the surface, and reveal the unforgettable adventure and experience that visitors discover.

SFIFF provides a casual environment for filmmakers and film novices alike to connect in a sincere way. Over 10,000 film lovers from around the United States will attend and also take advantage of the unique handcrafted shopping and Northern New Mexico cuisine downtown, as well as warm Santa Fe Indian summer afternoon hikes through the golden aspens in the surrounding mountains.

Tickets for all movies and events will be available Friday, September 25th at or by calling 505.988.1234. Early Bird Passes are available now at
