Visiting Santa Fe

Art Studio Tours & Artwalks

Each year, artists in communities surrounding Santa Fe open their studios to visitors. These annual studio tours offer a wonderful opportunity to meet acclaimed area artists, see where they work and learn about their creative process.

Many tours have been taking place for decades, drawing visitors from around the country who return year after year to visit their favorite artists and discover new artists. Galleries and local businesses join the festivities, too. You'll always find delicious food like posole and green chile and often, live music adds to the fun.

Purchase one-of-a-kind traditional and contemporary arts and crafts directly from the artists. You'll see an astonishing array of work, from painting and photography to pottery, weaving, wearable art, jewelry, furniture, tin work and more.

These tours are held in the city and in picturesque towns and villages near Santa Fe. As you make your way from studio to studio, you'll enjoy the town and admire the gorgeous views and vistas outdoors while experiencing the incredibly creative work on display inside.
