Heidi Loewen has a warm & sunny porcelain gallery & school, down the road from the Georgia O'Keeffe Museum. Heidi exhibits her contemporary smoke fired porcelain platters & vessels, with gold leaf & oils. She collaborates with many the world renowned artists such as the Dutch realist painter, Braldt Bralds for amazing trompe l'oeil effects.
Her gallery is both studio & school where she teaches private pottery wheel & sculpture lessons to students of any age! Class can an hour or as long as you like. Absolutely no art or clay experience necessary. The only requirement is a sense of humor.
Students may choose their favorite glaze colors. Heidi ships your masterpieces back to you several weeks later. Her classes are fun and everybody is a success. Even husbands love Heidi's clay classes! Appointments suggested. Walk-ins welcome.
Heidi taught the acclaimed Italian chef, Giada De Laurentiis on her TV show, "Giada's Weekend Getaways," which highlighted the best things to do in Santa Fe. House & Garden TV will also featured Heidi teaching pottery.
Heidi prepares clay on the wheel. Students design, shape, & squish their own vessels.
Clients & designers may request commissions. Loewen loves a good challenge & can easily make large porcelain platters & sculptures. Collectors may participate in the creation process. Works of art can be shipped all over the world.
