By bringing 100 wineries to Santa Fe to partner with 75 of the city’s best restaurants, a week long schedule of food and wine events is created featuring cooking demos, seminars, winery luncheons and dinners. The weekend culminates with the Grand Tasting at the Santa Fe Opera where all 75 participating Santa Fe restaurants and all 100 wineries serve samples of their best offerings. The Santa Fe Wine and Chile Fiesta takes place September 23–30, 2018—with the Grand Tasting taking place on Saturday, September 29.

Wine Events

The Fiesta is about more than just wine, and has a film festival of its own. On September 23 and 24, Violet Crown will be featuring wine-themed programming. The $30 ticket also includes a food and wine reception with offerings paired to match the film.

Cooking demonstrations and culinary education have always been an integral part of the Fiesta. This year the lineup of guest chefs include: Chef Dean Fearing from Dean Fearings in Dallas, Chef John Tesar from Knife Dallas, Chef Sllin Cruz of Geronimo, Chef Jeff Drew from Snake River Grill in Jackson Hole, WY, Chef Martin Rios of Restaurant Martin, and more.

You will also want to check out the amazing wine dinners at select restaurants around town. An expert will be present to introduce all wines to you and your guests with a special pairing menu. You’ll want to call the host restaurants for time, price and reservations well in advance. Participating restaurants can be found here.
