Music on the Hill

A free, family-friendly, summer concert series presented by St. John’s College. Bring your picnic, meet up with friends, and enjoy live music on the hill. Concerts are on Wednesday evenings in June and July from 6 to 8 p.m. at the St. John’s athletic field. Enjoy a musical lineup featuring blues, soul, folk and jazz.

Eloisa

Located in the heart of downtown Santa Fe, James Beard nominated ELOISA Restaurant fuses Latin and Southwestern flavors with Northern New Mexican classics in what Chef John Rivera Sedlar describes as “Modern Southwestern Cuisine”. The menu features premium, locally sourced ingredients that explore Latin history and local culture.

Interplanetary Festival

TheInterPlanetary Festival is an event that consists of film screenings, scientific panels, concerts, art installations, art vendors, food, drink, and the "Innovations & Ideas Expo" - all in an outdoor festival setting, and all completely freeǃ 

Canyon Road

The heart of the arts, this historic, tree-lined pathway has evolved into a major art market containing the highest concentration of galleries in the country. An easy mile-long stroll, Canyon Road is one of the most picturesque places in Santa Fe. Artists represented in more than 100 galleries show their works inside and outside Pueblo-style adobes and Territorial homes, where you’ll find fine art of every variety.

Santa Fe Studio Tour

This free event offers the rare opportunity for the public to see the original art of more than 60 Santa Fe artists—right in their own studios. The self-guided tour held over two weekends, features paintings, photography, sculpture, jewelry, ceramics and other unique works. Many artists give demonstrations of their craft, share techniques and discuss what inspired their work.

Music on the Hill

A free, family-friendly summer concert series presented by St. John’s College. Bring your picnic, meet up with friends, and enjoy live Music on the Hill. The 2019 concert series runs June 12, 19 & 26, and July 10, 17 & 24 from 6-8 p.m.


 

EPISODE 3: JUNE 15, 2019

Santa Fe Plaza

The heart of downtown Santa Fe for nearly 400 years, the Plaza remains the central part of the city, hosting Indian and Spanish markets and other annual events as well as community gatherings, concerts and more. 

Gran Fondo New York Santa Fe

The roads of GFNY Santa Fe will take riders through the spectacular and diverse terrain of The City Different. Enjoy a weekend of cycling events, including the 81-mile Long course, with 7,500 feet of climbing and the 55-mile Medium course, with 3,300 feet of climbing. Both routes start in downtown Santa Fe.

Rodeo de Santa Fe

From barrel racing to bareback and bull riding, Rodeo de Santa Fe has it all and has been roping the hearts of cowboys and rodeo fans since 1949. Get ready for the heart-pounding, dirt-slinging, action-packed performances of top PRCA rodeo athletes and top PRCA rodeo entertainment. Big time rodeo, with a small town feeling.

Santa Fe Bandstand

Santa Fe Bandstand is a free, outdoor music festival in the historic downtown Plaza and other locations throughout the city. Over 100 Rock, Country, Native American, Jazz, and Mariachi bands play for free throughout the summer. Come kick up your heels with the locals and experience Santa Fe's music scene. Be sure and check the schedule for each week as performance days vary.

Native American Feast Days

New Mexico’s foundational Pueblo culture is ever-present in Santa Fe and is reflected in the art, design and architecture throughout the city. However, an in-person visit to one of the Indian Pueblos in the region can also be a deeply enriching experience, especially on the occasion of an annual Pueblo Feast Day, where the culture is celebrated and the public is welcome to attend.

Zozobra

Amid fireworks and the ceremonial dances of ghosts and fire, Zozobra is set ablaze by torches. As Old Man Gloom burns, it is said that with him go the feelings of gloom and doom from the past year. The sound of the groaning Zozobra can be heard throughout the city and for miles around. Created by local Santa Fe artists over 90 years ago and now sponsored by the Santa Fe Kiwanis Club, this event draws thousands of visitors, rain or shine, and is the official kick-off for the Santa Fe Fiestas.
