Museum of International Folk Art
WHEN: Through September 10, 2017
This exhibit, at the Museum of International Folk Art, is the most comprehensive to celebrate and study this living tradition as art form. More than 150 objects are featured that trace flamenco's journey from 15th- and 16th-century Spain to 20th-century Europe's most cultured cities, including costumes both historic and contemporary, musical instruments, costume and set design sketches, playbills, sheet music, posters, and more. A series of lively special events and performances are planned throughout the summer.
