Learn a special technique that Shirley Crow uses in her mysterious, abstract oil paintings and explore the magic of color relationships with various methods using brushes and paints. You'll also work with influences and inspirations as you express the colors of New Mexico in your own work...NO ART EXPERIENCE NECESSARY AND ALL LEVELS WELCOME!
The goal of the workshop is to give you a unique, fun, even joyous, art experience that lifts your spirits, expands aesthetic awareness and enhances your Santa Fe visit. All art materials, including a small primed canvas, are provided.
Shirley Crow earned her Bachelor of Science (with honors) in Art Education from the University of Missouri. She studied with and assisted the director of the Lowell Collins School of Art in Houston. She also won the Individual Artist Fellowship Award from and hosted visiting artists for the Mid Atlantic Arts Foundation, part of the National Endowment for the Arts, when she worked in Delaware. Her work has been exhibited at the U.S. Embassy in Belgium and many galleries, including The Read Johnson Gallery in Santa Fe, NM, Zane Bennett Contemporary Art Gallery in Santa Fe, NM, The Buddy Holly Center in Lubbock, TX, and the Delaware State Arts Council Gallery in Wilmington, DE.

Personalized yoga instruction from experienced yoga instructor, Susan Voorhees. Susan's style is slow-paced, with good verbal cues and attention to body alignment in the various poses. Classes begin with a silent five minute meditation, followed by stretches and strengthening postures involving the entire body. Props such as chairs and blocks are used. All equipment is provided. Restorative Yoga Workshops for Women are offered.
One hour private class for 1-4 people may be scheduled, or public classes (hour and a half) may be attended.
Susan was trained by B.K.S. Iyengar in Pune, India, and has been teaching Yoga for 34 years. She is also a Massage Therapist.
