All of the 65 artists represented in the contemporary book arts exhibit are members of the Santa Fe Book Arts Group (BAG). They all use a wide range of materials, designs, and techniques to create original works of sculptural or multi-dimensional book art. The exhibit of contemporary book art is the highlight of the Santa Fe Book Art Celebration, which features a wide range of events and activities open to the public. These include hands-on workshops, lectures, presentations, tours, demonstrations, art sales, and receptions. Free public lecture by Dr. William Leuchtenburg, "Searching for America's New Deal Landscape, 2000-2015"

One to the few remaining men who worked in the Franklin D. Roosevelt administration will be in Santa Fe to give a free talk, "Searching for America's New Deal Landscape, 2000-2015." Dr. Leuchtenburg is a leading scholar on the life and career of FDR; has written more than a dozen books; and has appeared in Ken Burns documentary "The Roosevelts." He is traveling to Santa Fe as keynote speaker and participant in a joint conference of the National and New Mexico Chapters of the National New Deal Preservation Association, at the Capitol. visit our website
