With pi-ano music, song, poetry, and screen images he immerses the audience in the artistic ideas, social satire, and dark humor of this fascinating and little-known Parisian world. CABARET & THE SPIRIT OF MONTMARTRE reveals not only the beginnings of cabaret culture but the creative whims and, at times, surprising attitudes of the popular French cabaret artists of the time.

The Playhouse offers quality productions of well-known plays and also offers never-produced playwrights the chance to see their work on stage. First-time performers have the opportunity to be on stage with seasoned actors. The Playhouse welcomes everyone who wants to participate in live theatre. Each season offers comedies, dramas and musicals. Popular annual productions include “Benchwarmers” (original short plays) and “Fiesta Melodrama”. Not only do theatregoers enjoy quality productions, they partake of a sense of history when they enter the old adobe walls of the Santa Fe Playhouse.
