Slide Show 2.0: Promoting Your Work with Digital Video using Apple iMovie with Chris Nierman / May 21, 2013 Create polished and professional video presentations using still images, video clips, music, text, and narration. This session will demonstrate using iMovie, a software product only available on Apple (Mac) computers. Participants are encouraged to bring their laptops.
Chris Nierman operates High-Res Solutions, where he provides Santa Fe locals and small businesses with personalized technology support. His background includes certified instruction in the public school system. He is a Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist and works with both Mac and PC machines, tablets, smartphones, and more.
Artists, artisans, and craftsmen who offer workshops and classes for the public within Santa Fe county are invited to sign up for a free consultation on Internet marketing. Consultations on creating websites and blogs as well as using social networks and other Internet marketing strategies are being offered free to small arts-related businesses interested in finding workshop customers throughwww.SantaFeCreativeTourism.org. Consultation appointments are available Tuesdays 10 am to 5pm starting March 26, 2013, at the Community Gallery. Appointments can be made by contacting Chris Nierman at chris@High-ResSolutions.com or 505-913-7266.
The City of Santa Fe Arts Commission is continuing to work with artists and arts businesses to further develop the organization and promotion of workshops that allow visitors to experience Santa Fe in a hands-on fashion. Partnerships and collaborations with the hospitality industry and other entities are welcomed, such as artist residencies and shared promotional opportunities. This initiative was created as a result of the city of Santa Fes 2005 appointment to the UNESCO Creative Cities Network and builds upon the successful 2008 International Conference on Creative Tourism held in Santa Fe.
