The Canticum Novum Chamber Orchestra & Chorus perform long lost treasures from our Hispanic heritage -- Latin American music of the Baroque era composed by New World immigrants and their students and descendants. You'll also hear two rarely performed works by Johann Sebastian Bach and Mozart. Lecture by Hispano-American music scholar Craig Russell one hour before each performance.

The New Mexico History Museum and La Fonda host the event, which begins with a lecture by Fried at 4 p.m. and a 6 p.m. dinner at La Fonda based on recipes from the Harvey House Cookbook.

This first major exhibition devoted to Ernest Thompson Seton (1860-1946) tells the story of the "godfather of today's environmental movement" through his drawings and paintings, personal memorabilia, photographs and books. Seton, who spent his final years in Santa Fe, was a conservationist, author, artist and co-founder of the Boy Scouts of America.

This inaugural exhibit in the New Mexico History Museum's Changing Gallery features clothing and accessories from nearly two centuries worn for special occasions. Cochiti and Santo Domingo pueblos may be separated by the Rio Grande, but for centuries they shared ceramic traditions. Influences from the outside world, however, brought major changes that resulted in the pueblos pursuing markedly different paths in their pottery styles. With 250 pieces from the museum's collection, this exhibit illustrates those differences, and provides a fascinating look at the history and communities of these pueblos.
