Monika Kaden is an internationally known sculpture, installation- and mixed media artist. She worked with the Santa Fe Art Institute and Santa Fe Opera. One of her signature sculptures ‘St. Francis Dancing on Water’ can be viewed in front of the Cathedral Basilica St. Francis of Assisi downtown Santa Fe. Monika’s work on a larger-than-life sized statue of Pope John XXIII was also the subject of a Mary Townsend-produced documentary entitled "All Days Are Good for Being Born", which won honorable mention at the ReelHeART International Film Festival 2007 in Toronto. Monika Kaden recently finished the eleven feet tall colored patina bronze statue “Barbette-Dancer", based on the essay by Joan Cocteau “Barbette”, which can be seen downtown Santa Fe, on Paseo De Peralta corner Marcy Street. More of her unique work can be seen at her studio in downtown Santa Fe and can be purchased. She takes commissions as well and helps clients with the design for special places. The William Siegal Gallery offers museum quality antiquities and contemporary art.

For over thirty years owner Bill Siegal has been assembling the world’s largest collection of fine ancient and antique Andean textiles dating from 750 BC up to the 19th Century.

Additionally, the gallery exhibits ceremonial objects and artifacts from Meso and South American Cultures, as well as objects from China’s Han and Tang Dynasties and Southeast Asia. Distinguished African and Indonesian textiles are also prominently featured.

In May of 2007, William Siegal Gallery opened its new 5,000 square foot exhibition space, in which antiquities are now hung side by side with the works of outstanding contemporary artists. This proximity between the "old" and the "new" conveys a sublime and timeless trans-cultural aesthetic of modernism.

William Siegal Gallery is located in Santa Fe’s newly revitalized Railyard District, which is rapidly becoming the central locus of Santa Fe’s contemporary art scene.
