Gay & Lesbian Events

A destination for gay and lesbian couples and singles, Santa Fe is home to many gay-popular and gay-owned shops, restaurants, and bars located throughout town.

Each June, Santa Fe plays host to Santa Fe Pride. The festival brings together gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender people and their friends and families.

Festivities include a parade, information and networking booths and an art show and sale featuring work that reflects the GLBT commmunity.

Every fall, Closet Cinema hosts the Southwest Gay and Lesbian Film Festival in Santa Fe and Albuquerque each Fall. Watch documentaries, shorts and feature films from the U.S., Canada, Europe, Australia and South America. and attend opening and closing night parties as well as a Queer Brunch.

The Santa Fe Human Rights Alliance hosts Gay Pride Celebration events as well as other GLBTQ events year-round.

The city of Santa Fe itself is a leader in gay rights, offering domestic partnership benefits to its employees.
