A destination for gay and lesbian couples and singles, Santa Fe is home to many gay-popular and gay-owned shops, restaurants, and bars located throughout town.
Each June, Santa Fe plays host to Pride on the Railyard Plaza, the Santa Fe Gay Pride Celebration. Every fall, Closet Cinema hosts the Southwest Gay and Lesbian Film Festival in Santa Fe and Albuquerque, taking place October 9-15 in 2009. Watch more than 75 documentaries, shorts and feature films from the U.S., Canada, Europe, Australia and South America. and attend opening and closing night parties as well as a Queer Brunch.
The Santa Fe Human Rights Alliance hosts Gay Pride Celebration events as well as other GLBTQ events year-round. The city of Santa Fe itself is a leader in gay rights, offering domestic partnership benefits to its employees.

Nov. 14: Boogie on over for Trash Disco, with DJ Oona spinning the hottest dance music of the 70's through today. 8:30 p.m.-12 a.m., $7 cover.
Nov. 21: The Santa Fe Reporter, KBAC Radio & the Copy Shack present Tumbao! A Latin Fusion Dance & fundraising event for the Food Depot. DJ P.A. Trix DJ Pancho spin the hottest Latin dance music. $10 cover goes to the Food Depot to help feet hungry Northern New Mexicans this Thanksgiving. 8:30 p.m.-12 a.m.
Nov. 28: Dance that Turkey off at Trash Disco with DJ Oona. This is Santa Fe's longest running dance party and still going strong! 8:30 p.m.-12 a.m., $7 cover.
