Bed and Breakfasts

Once you've stayed in a Santa Fe bed and breakfast, you'll want to extend your vacation for days, even weeks. Your hosts can provide helpful information about where to shop, what to see and how best to get around town, but friendly, old-fashioned Southwestern hospitality is only part of the fun.

You can rent a room, a suite, a casita, part of a hacienda or even an entire house. Choose to stay in a 1930s-era Pueblo-style bungalow, a Queen Anne house, a Spanish Pueblo Revival building, a Zen center, or a rambling adobe where a famous poet once lived. You can even rent a guest house on a 10-acre ranch. You may want a bed and breakfast that's in the heart of downtown or tucked away on a quiet street within walking distance of Santa Fe's plaza, restaurants and shops. Perhaps you'd rather be high in the mountains on the Turquoise Trail, with dazzling, dizzying panoramic views.

Many B & B's offer Southwestern décor, blending hand-crafted furniture with antiques, Native American and Spanish Colonial art and regional textiles. You can find rooms with kiva fireplaces, vigas (wood beams) and private baths with steam showers and whirlpool tubs.

Start your day with blue corn pancakes, green chile soufflé or another hearty gourmet breakfast featuring Santa Fe cuisine. You can dine with other guests or share a romantic breakfast in your room. Return from your daytime adventures for happy hour with snacks and a glass of wine or a margarita and share your Santa Fe experiences with other guests. Enjoy a quiet morning or evening in your private courtyard or in colorful gardens. Unwind from your day in an outdoor hot tub, beneath Santa Fe's starry skies.

Many bed and breakfasts are pet-friendly and a few even allow horses. Most are family-friendly and can accommodate large groups for reunions, weddings and other events. Browse our list below to find the best bed and breakfast for your Santa Fe stay.
