Museum of Spanish Colonial Art
Celebrate the rich Hispanic culture of Northern New Mexico at the 59th Annual Traditional Spanish Market, the oldest and largest juried exhibition and sale of traditional Spanish colonial art in the United States. The 2010 Market will be held on the downtown Plaza in Santa Fe, New Mexico on Saturday, July 24 from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and Sunday, July 25 from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Features over 400 juried New Mexican artists. Music, dance, demonstrations, pageantry and food. Admission is free!

Photography workshops will be held on June 24-27 and July 22-25 led by notable artists including Jerry Courvousier, Tony O'Brien and David Scheinbaum.

Writers Workshops will be held on July 8-11 led by authors and poets including Mark Behr, Bill DeBuys, Greg Glazner, Pam Houston, Michael McGarrity, Malena Morling and Graywolf Senior Editor Jeffrey Shotts.

Celebrating the art of the West, this new exhibition includes paintings, drawings, postcards, advertisements, sculptures, video imagery, and of course boots. The objects and images examine changing aspects of the West, exploring topics like freedom, loneliness, gender, fashion, allure and youth culture. Soul Mates opens May 14 at the New Mexico Museum of Art on the historic plaza in Santa Fe.
