The new Santa Fe Convention Center, scheduled to open in October 2008, will make the city an even more desirable venue for meeting professionals and organizations of all sizes. The 72,000-square-foot Convention Center will have 40,000 square-feet of event space and feature state-of-the-art audio/visual capabilities on par with the nation's other great convention and conference facilities.

Located in the heart of Santa Fe's thriving downtown, the Convention Center will be within walking distance of some of the world's finest restaurants, museums and shopping, as well as 1,500 hotel and bed & breakfast rooms. For those who choose to stay at one of the numerous other lodging options within short driving distance, the Convention Center will include a 512-vehicle underground parking garage.

The Santa Fe Convention Center is ideal for Green meetings and events. Since inception, environmental responsibility has been a major focus. 88% of the materials from the previous building were salvaged and recycled, 75% of the waste generated during construction is being recycled, and all exterior timber is certified, meaning it was rescued from the Sierra Blanca forest fire.
