American Eagle Adds Second Flight Between Dallas-Santa Fe
American Eagle will add a second daily, round-trip flight between the Santa Fe Municipal Airport and Dallas-Fort Worth on November 19, the same day new service between Los Angeles LAX and Santa Fe is scheduled to begin. The airline's first Dallas to Santa Fe service began June 11, 2009. It has been successful enough, with mostly full flights, to prompt the company to add a second connection.
The Santa Fe to Los Angeles flight is expected to do equally as well serving both visitors and professionals connected to New Mexico's thriving film industry.

American Eagle's non-stop service between Dallas and Santa Fe uses the 44-seat Embraer ERJ-140 jet. The $20 million aircraft cruises at 500+ mph and 40,000 feet. It is, "one of the newest and most modern planes in the fleet," according to American Eagle's Managing Director of Sales, Brian Coutts.
The Santa Fe Municipal Airport was recently upgraded to handle regional jets like the Embraer which is the aircraft expected to be used for the LAX service.
The airport is located on the southwestern edge of the city, about a 20-minute shuttle ride into historic downtown.
