ART Santa Fe 2011
ART Santa Fe celebrates eleven successful years in 2011! The eleventh edition of Santa Fe's international art fair will be held July 7-10, 2011 at the Santa Fe Convention Center and will once again present great contemporary art from around the world.
Designated as one of UNESCO's Creative Cities, Santa Fe is a globally familiar art destination. The city claims the second largest art market in the United States and draws visitors from across the United States and internationally.
ASF has boasted great response from gallerists and collectors, with strong sales and foot traffic. With excitement still running high after last year's fair, ART Santa Fe's producers are broadening their sights to make ART Santa Fe's eleventh edition something truly special.
Located in the heart of downtown Santa Fe, the Convention Center boasts state-of-the-art facilities that will accommodate gallery exhibitors, cutting-edge installations, and more of the cultural and educational events that have become a hallmark of what makes ART Santa Fe unique.
ART Santa Fe's eleventh edition promises to expand popular events like the new "How Things are Made" art exposition (which in 2010 featured a lithography demonstration by Landfall Press) and the fine-art glass making of Bullseye Glass. The prestigious ART Santa Fe Presents lecture series continues to build on its amazing track record of lecturers, from Robert Hughes to Guggenheim director Thomas Krens and architect Frank Gehry to New York Times critic Roberta Smith. In 2011 ART Santa Fe Presents will bring another informative speaker to Santa Fe.
With years of experience, ART Santa Fe understands the needs and desires of both gallerists and art buyers alike. The fair's producers' distinctive attention to detail pampers participating galleries and artists, as well as the art buyers who come to see the best on offer. This summer will be no exception, with artist-styled events and exhibits that will thrill exhibitors and visitors alike.
ASF remains special in the art-fair world not only because of its unmatched attention to the special extras, but also because it offers art buyers an experience that goes beyond the fair doors in a world-class destination city. What art enthusiast would miss an opportunity to walk the golden adobe-walled streets of Santa Fe, dine in world-class restaurants, visit cutting-edge fine art galleries, take studio tours, enjoy world renowned opera, and sip a glass of wine while gazing at the Sangre de Cristo Mountains at sunset?
With ART Santa Fe, the difference lies not only in setting, quality, venue, and city - but also in attitude. At ART Santa Fe, art has always been at the heart of the matter.
